dog on deck

A few weekends back we went boating with Steve's family. While we were eating our lunch in the boat, we saw a dog running along the shoreline about 200 yds from us. She kept barking and running back and forth. Some of our group was in the water when the dog decided to make the swim out to us. Here Melinda is trying to get out of the dogs way. She was a skinny fox hunting dog. She had a tracking device and a large three digit number painted on her sides. We gave her one of our PB and J's because she looked so emaciated. Steve found out later that they starve fox hounds before the hunt so they'll hunt better.
