Marie turns 3

On the day of Thomas' blessing we also celebrated Marie's and my birthday with the family. Steve made this "better than anything cake" for me, but I let Marie blow out the candles on it.

Here's the Rosie the Train birthday cake I made for Marie. She helped a little with the wheels.

All the kids at the her party eating their cake and ice cream. Her birthday was on a Saturday this year so we got to have the party on her actual birthday!

This is where Marie was most of her party.

We had baby pools and a slip and slide set-up for the kids.

We also had water balloons. Steve had a crazy idea to have one of the dads ride by on a bike and have the kids throw the water balloons at him. He introduced by saying "a strange man is going to come and we need to throw these balloons at him!" Needless to say this scared some of the kids (girls mostly). They came running to us moms as the dad rode by. However, the older boys at the party loved it.

Cute cake! I can totally see Natalie wanting a Rosie cake.
