Peter's 5th Birthday Party, Oct 30th 2010

Peter had a Sipderman Theme birthday party this year. I made the cake again. This one was a lot easier.

We had all the guests dress-up as super heros. We had few everyday super heros like a fireman and fighter pilot along with Ironman and Superman.
Peter was of course Sipderman. All the children who wanted had a turn swinging through the air like sipderman.
They played spin the web too.
Peter kept telling us he wanted to play "Spin the Web" at his party, but we didn't know a game by that name. So Steve created a game. We paired the children off and placed them on opposite sides of a wooden frame. Then the children threw a spool of yarn back and forth to one another wrapping the yarn around the frame. Once the web was "spun" they used it to catch a falling baby doll the bad guy had captured.

Sometimes the doll missed the web, but it wasn't a bad thing for the boys. They thought it was so funny. We had nine boys between the ages of 3 and 5 at the party and two sisters.

They also play super hero tug a war.

I made these sipder crackers for a healthier snack at the party.

We ended the party with a sipderman pinata, which Peter really, really wanted.
