Christmas 2012

Marie picked our tree this year.

Thomas loved decorating. Well, we all did really.  It was cute to hear Peter and Marie tell Thomas, "No Tom that's one of Mom's special ornaments."
We made our annual Gingerbread house. On Marie and my date we picked out the candy we used.
It was Virginia Christmas this year.  The kids made ornaments and sang for residents at a small nursing home on Christmas eve morning.
Later that day it snowed. It wasn't forecasted so we didn't have any snow gear along. No worries, Grandma had stuff for us to wear.

 Thomas loved this ski mask

Almost everyone went outside to make these snow-people
Christmas morning was so fun with all ten grandkids, and I'm not joking. It was magical.
Steve made Papa this corn hole set.
This picture is from Christmas Eve. All the kids plus Chris jumped into the hot tub to warm up after the snowman building.
Cousin Sophie made all the girl cousins skirts.
Thomas and Cousin Laura became best buds. Partners in crime really. Thomas referred to Laura as "my friend." He has a hard time with L's.
The kids and I stayed the whole week at  Grandma and Grandpa's.  Steve had to leave early Wednesday morning for work. We filled the days with cousin fun. They made gingerbread houses one day.

We had a paper air plane contest.
On Friday, before we left we took them skating. It was really difficult for all my kids. Thank heavens they had these "skate mates."
When Thomas wasn't struggling to let go of me and skate/fall on his own he was snacking.

Joseph is the best baby. He just fell asleep on his own.
