We had a great beach week as always. Our kids say it's their favorite week of the year. Here Peter and Brody were trying to dig the deepest hole they could. Thomas came to "help."
Marie loves to mix water with the sand in our sand box at home, which is big no, no. Here at the beach, though, she can create the biggest mess and I don't care.
After wearing this bathing suit at least two times a week all year, he finally is wearing at the beach!
Thomas took his first Hobie Cat ride. He loved it. I think he'll get into sailing just like his Dad and Grandpa Tom.
Peter got really good at boogie boarding. He can really catch a wave.
Thomas cannot boogie yet, but he did like getting pulled along.
Snacking is always a big part of beaching. Peanut butter crackers were the favorite among my kids this year.
Water relay.
more hole digging
Our Castle
All the cousin after the mini olympic we held. We had half hula loop hurdles, long jump, shot put (bocce ball), discus (Frisbee) and javelin (shovel).
Thomas really likes his Uncle Chris so he wanted to be buried like Chris was.
The boys went to a Norfolk Tides game.
All the cousins on the deck after the family pictures.
Our family picture
and a funny one too.
Uncle Tim was training for the Chicago marathon so we all went our to cheer for him as he completed a very long run one morning.
Thomas a.k.a. "My Do" wore his life jacket down at the ocean front a lot of the time. We still had to keep a close eye on him, but it did easy our worry. Thomas loved swimming/floating out pass the breakers in his jacket while the other kids used boogie boards.
