For the frist time I took Marie and Peter to the fireworks. We saw the Yorktown (where the Revolutionary War was won) fireworks show from the Gloucester side of the York River. Steve stayed home with Thomas.
They were amazed by the show. Sometimes it is good to hold off on a few things so life can still be exciting and magical.
We got water country passes again this year. We went at least once every week this summer. We did go a few times on our own, but it's a lot more fun with friends. Here Marie is with her good friend Ella.
Thomas and I. Let me tell you it's really hard to get into a tube pregnant. This was just a kiddy slide so I thought it would be okay for me to go down. I didn't go on any of the big slides. My kids aren't that adventurous anyways.
The girls could get their own tube, which was nice.
Peter took some rides with Thomas too.
My friend Jenny stopped by one afternoon while she was visiting her in-laws. Peter and her son, Todd have always been good friends. This time Marie and Kate played really well together too.
Peter earned an "All Star" during his T-ball season. His coach would highlight a player at the end of each game who really played well. Peter was so proud of himself as were we of him.

Thomas is now into Thomas. He call him "my train"
We took the boat to Lake Anna for the day with Steve's parents and two of his sisters. The kids really loved tubing this year.
Good old fashion summer fun, they caught a dragon fly.
Peter and Steve were in the corn hole competition at our ward's Pioneer Day activity. They lost to the Elders, but the Elders went on to win the whole thing so Peter didn't feel too bad.
Bobbing for apples
Thomas learning how to make fire. Just what I need, right?
Thomas and his best bud Ryan a.k.a. Ry, Ry by Thomas. Ryan's family moved away a few days after this picture was taken. Thomas still talks about Ryan. Maybe we can visit Utah and see his family in the next year or two.
Spelling their names with trio blocks.
Steve took Marie to the Fancy Nancy night they had at our library. She said it the best night of her life.
The did all sorts of fancy games and crafts. They ended by eating cupcakes. She told me when she got home that it was wonderful and she didn't even have to miss treat.
